Build your literacy in regenerative development and tourism. Understand the difference between regeneration and sustainability, what is involved and how we need to work differently. This mini-course is an introduction to the change ahead. It will build your confidence and courage to talk about regenerative tourism and the future of tourism and travel beyond business as usual.
This course is designed for managers, leaders, business owners and policymakers who genuinely seek to open up their thinking and develop an appreciation for the change ahead.
Regeneration is a paradigm shift that requires deep systems change.

Why the future of travel is regenerative
Regeneration and positive impact tourism is on the rise across the world. Conscious travellers are searching for deeper and more meaningful connections with the places they visit. They want to hear local stories, experience a place, and be transformed through deeper connections with nature, others and themselves. These visitors tend to stay longer, spend locally and build long-term connections. They are also more conscious of their impacts, seek to minimise their footprint, and are willing to give back when provided the opportunity.
Regeneration flips thinking by asking "How can travel and the hosting of visitors give back to nature, community, and place.

We have more community involvement, the state govt is supportive and we are keeping our fingers crossed for some federal funding for a pilot project for the islands. All very exciting! We often go back to our notes from our sessions with you for our community work :)
