Regeneration rising

Regeneration is a paradigm shift that requires deep systems change.

Regeneration requires that we redesign the extractive systems that are driving the polycrisis. Our survival depends on it.

Regeneration requires that we heal our relationship with the planet, with community, and reconnect with our inner selves.  There can be no business as usual.

To take this course you must be prepared to challenge what you know. You must be willing to confront the barriers and blindspots that keep you reaching for the same toolkit. This course is designed to awaken you to a new way of thinking about the what we need to do for the future.

Why the future of travel is regenerative

Regeneration and positive impact tourism is on the rise across the world. Conscious travellers are searching for deeper and more meaningful connections with the places they visit. They want to hear local stories, experience a place, and be transformed through deeper connections with nature, others and themselves. These visitors tend to stay longer, spend locally and build long-term connections. They are also more conscious of their impacts, seek to minimise their footprint, and are willing to give back when provided the opportunity.

Regeneration flips thinking by asking "How can travel and the hosting of visitors give back to nature, community, and place.

- Participant, Regenerative Tourism x Design, May 2022

We have more community involvement, the state govt is supportive and we are keeping our fingers crossed for some federal funding for a pilot project for the islands. All very exciting! We often go back to our notes from our sessions with you for our community work :)
